Amazon.com adds six cities to same day delivery

Starting today, Amazon is expanding their same-day delivery service. Adding six cities for customers in Baltimore, Dallas/Fort Worth, Indianapolis, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington DC metro areas will be joining Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Francisco and Seattle metro areas. Amazon says that there are a million eligible items now available for same-day delivery, listed as “Get It Today”. Customers in participating cities can order by noon(except Chicago), seven days a week (except Boston) and get it at your door. If you order after the required time you'll receive your package the next day. “Get It by Tomorrow” filter will make available additional items that can be purchased and received by the next day.

- Family Needs: Prevent running low on essentials at home with baby wipes, diaper pail refills, infant formula, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, detergent, granola bars and more.
- Projects: Complete projects for school or work with a selection of office and craft supplies.
- Fix it: Finish a quick fix at home with help from super glue, tools and even things like refrigerator filters.
Can you use same-day if you're not a Prime member? Yes. Prime members will pay $5.99 for all the same-day delivery items they can order. Pricing for non-Prime customers will remain unchanged with a $9.98 fee for the first item, and $0.99 for each additional item.
