LG G and Samsung Gear Live watches can now be preordered

Earlier today Android Wear debuted at I/O, and with that announcement, also said that later today preorders would be open. Well, the time has finally arrived. 

The LG G watch is currently available for $229 in the Play Store. Shipments are listed as of now for July 3rd. There are two colors to choose from, Black Titan or White Gold. Some of the details about the watch are:

  • Changeable straps with any standard 22mm (0.86 inch) watch strap.
  • Always-on display - The G Watch never sleeps.
  • 400mAh battery - says it'll last a whole day
  • Certified water and dust resistant - The G Watch is IP67 water and dust resistant.

Heart rate monitor is not listed as a feature. In the box is the LG G watch, charging cradle, travel adapter, and data USB cable.

Samsung's Gear Live watch is available for $199 in the Play Store. The watch will ship July 8th and comes in the color Black. Specs:

  • compatible with all Samsung phones running Android 4.3,+

It doesn't appear you can change the wrist strap like the LG G. In the box you'll get the Samsung Gear Live watch, charging dock, travel adapter, and data USB cable.
